Beth Partain, LCSW, PMH-C, RYT-200

After graduating with a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Louisville in 2014, I have been working with families, mamas, and children for the last 9+ years providing a holistic and trauma-informed therapy experience.  I have training and experience in treating Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Mood Disorders, Grief, and adjustment to life changes. I am skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing, among other treatment modalities.

I began Flourish in 2020 with the intention to provide services to empower all women, and to make a space for specialized perinatal mental health. I am the first mental health provider in Owensboro, and the Western KY area, to have the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), which requires extensive training through Postpartum Support International, multiple years of experience in working with families, and a final certification exam. I sat for my exam in 2021, and I have multiple years of experience in the perinatal mental health field. I am passionate about advocating for parental mental health, helping mamas to find their way in motherhood, encouraging the mother-baby bond, and bonding of families after the birth of a new baby.

I strive to be a warm and welcoming therapist, and believe that the bulk of therapeutic work relies on a supportive and trustworthy client-therapist relationship. I put a special focus on holding space for my clients, nervous system regulation, and holistic mental wellness. I like to incorporate meditation, yoga, and mindfulness practices into traditional therapeutic interventions to help you reach your mental wellness goals. I am passionate about working with women, especially mamas, to help them find overall wellness and belonging.
