FLOURISH COUNSELING FAQs
+ What can I expect from a therapy session?
I will meet you where you are. Don't feel like you're too much, or there's not enough time to get to the bottom of how you're feeling. We will take time to determine what it is that YOU are wanting from therapy. I will hold space for you, and use my skills to help guide you to your ultimate goals. We will go over personal and family mental health history, trauma history, and current symptoms. It is helpful for me to know these things to help get the amount of sessions, and focus of sessions right, so we can focus on your goals. We will also work on developing healthy coping skills, and that may include trying: yoga, meditation, breath work, or speaking to your physician about further testing to rule out any medical conditions.
+ Are you accepting new clients?
As of right now (February 2023), I am taking new clients-- in-person or telehealth! I have gotten a lot of new referrals since moving to my new location, so that could change very soon, but email me at beth@flourishcounselingobky.com with your name, DOB, and insurance information to check my availability. I strive to respond to all new referrals within 24-48 hours. I am a one-woman-show, so sometimes I may take the full time to respond. If it's been longer than 48 hours, mistakes do happen, and I may have overlooked your message. Please message me again with any questions or concerns!
+ Can I use my insurance?
Yes! I am currently in-network with Medicaid, Wellcare, Aetna Better Health, Anthem Medicaid, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. If I am out of network with your plan, I am happy to provide a superbill after each session/payment received where you may be able to seek reimbursement from your insurance plan. Please, check with your insurance company if you want this option, as all are different, and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
+ How much is a session?
A session lasting 53-60 minutes is $90. I take cash, check, debit, credit, and HSA cards. Payment is collected at the end of a session through a HIPAA-compliant app I use on my practice software, called Ivy Pay. Your information is safely stored for future sessions.
