+Are you accepting new clients?
Currently, I am out on maternity leave. I plan to be back in the office at the beginning of October 2021 and will begin accepting new clients at that time.
+Are you licensed?
Yes! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed by the Kentucky Board of Social Work. My license number is 254180.
+Do you take insurance?
Currently, I am a preferred provider with Anthem BCBS and Kentucky Medicaid + their MCO's: Aetna Better Health of KY, Anthem, + WellCare.
+How much do you charge for a session and how can I pay?
If you do not want to use insurance, or I am out of network with your coverage, you can opt-out of utilizing insurance and choose a private pay option instead. Individual private pay sessions begin at $100 for a 50-60 minute session. Private payment is accepted at the time of your session in the form of cash, check, debit card, credit card, or HSA card. For out of network coverage, a superbill can also be provided, at your request, to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance to verify how much of your visit is covered. Most insurance providers will cover between 20% - 80% of session costs for out of network providers.
+Do you offer telehealth (video) services?
During Covid-19 most insurance plans in Kentucky are covering telehealth to encourage it's use. I am more than happy to set up a telehealth session and provide a link to a HIPAA compliant video chat room for your sessions.
Please contact your insurance to discuss coverage for these services, as they may not be offered as a covered session after August 1, 2020.
+What can I expect at my first appointment?
You can expect to sign the necessary consents for me to provide you therapeutic services prior to your appointment through a client portal. I will also spend much of the session gathering information to further support you, exploring your current symptoms, as well as personal history, family history, and working to find coping skills that are effective with your symptoms.
+How long does therapy last?
In order for therapy to be successful, most often sessions should begin on a weekly basis. We’ll get to know each other first and then work on finding coping skills that are effective in relieving some of your symptoms. After that, it’s possible to meet less frequently as agreed upon. When you have met your treatment goals, then we will discuss closing your file with me.
+Do you share my personal information with others?
Absolutely not! I am required by law to keep your protected health information that identifies you as confidential.
+What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that you call to cancel or reschedule any appointment at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel after the 24 hour window, or no-show, then you will be subject to a full session fee. A pattern of last minute cancellations or no-shows will result in referral of your case to a new therapist, and closure with me.
+Can I bring my children to therapy?
Your baby is more than welcome to come to a session with you. If you have older children that will require much of your attention in an office setting, let's talk about the benefits of telehealth and having the session in the comfort of your own home.
